- JEE Main – Required for admission to NITs, IIITs, and other engineering colleges. Also serves as a qualifying exam for JEE Advanced.
- JEE Advanced – Only students who clear JEE Main with the required cutoff can appear for JEE Advanced, which is mandatory for admission into IITs.
Eligibility Criteria
JEE Main Eligibility
- Must have passed Class 12th (or equivalent) in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
- Candidates can attempt JEE Main a maximum of 3 times in consecutive years.
- No minimum percentage is required for JEE Main (but for NITs & IIITs, a minimum of 75% in Class 12th or top 20 percentile in the board is required).
